Professional Experience dot Art Instructor

Berkeley City College (Multimedia Arts) Berkeley, CA 2006–2018

focus: college-level teaching and administrative work in Berkeley-based Career and Technical Education (CTE) oriented professional training program.

dot Communityorganized and presided over the Digital Arts Club, Jerry Adams Gallery, the ProArts Open Studios at Berkeley City College, several printmaking workshops and other special events in the community. Exhibited my own artwork in over 25 shows and locales from 1999 to 2018.

dot Curriculum researched, designed and followed through on curriculum review process for new multimedia arts degrees in data visualization. State-level approval completed in 2015 and courses began in 2016.

dot Grants wrote and managed Perkins grant series emphasizing a positive cycle of demand for multimedia skills by employers, matching this demand with our CTE multimedia training, and finally expanding this community loop into advisory councils, job readiness training, and an alumni society.

dot Teaching created and taught digital printmaking, information architecture and design, page layout, contemporary color, basic Photoshop, art marketing, digital portfolio, and exhibition design. New courses developed for data visualization and user experience.

AGAC [Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco] 2009–2018

focus: board work for the support council of the Achenbach Graphic Fine Arts (AGFA) department of works on paper at the deYoung and Legion of Honor art museums in San Francisco. Currently serve on Nominating Committee.

dot Chair (2013–2014) Managed sub-committees for fund-raising, membership, support programs, special events, an artists' book publishing project, speaker series, show-and-tell date, art purchases and travel programs. Reported to trustees on an annual basis.

dot 2nd Sub-committees Chair (2011–2012) Oversaw six operations related subcommittees for graphics art support council.

dot Board Member (2009–2010) Organized locale for show-and-tell.
